Δείτε παρακάτω.... Quentin Leo Cook was raised in Reigate, Surrey, England, and was educated at Reigate Grammar School. He played drums in Disque Attack (a British new-wave-influenced rock band). When singer Charlie Alcock was told by his parents that he had to give up the band to concentrate on his O levels, Quentin took over as lead vocalist. At Reigate College he also met Paul Heaton with whom he formed the Stomping Pondfrogs. At 18, he went to the Brighton Polytechnic to study a BA in English, politics and sociology. Although he had begun DJing some years before, it was at this time that he began to develop his skills on the thriving Brighton club scene. Known as DJ Quentox (The OX that Rocks) Cook and DJ Baptiste started putting on Youth Club Hip Hop jams in Brighton, sowing the seeds of the City’s flourishing Hip Hop scene today. These primitive 80’s block parties are recalled in the music documentary ‘South Coast’ which documents Brighton’s cult Hip Hop scene from its grass root

Norman’s special relationship with the world cup started in 2002 when he had the bright idea to book gigs in Japan and South Korea in the same cities as the England games, thus giving the England fans something to do on their nights off and allowing himself and his crew to go to the matches. Based on the success of this formula he repeated it (this time with FA approval) in euro 2004 in Portugal. Norm explains “We just thought, why don’t we just book gigs around the England games, that way we get to be there” he went on to say “So I did a T-Shirt saying ‘Fatboy Slim, Official DJ Of The World Cup’ – you have the official beer why not DJ?”. Ever since, when Norman has had contact with the FA they have thanked him for being the official DJ. Me and my DJ partner in OD Muzique, Sean McCleary, were always down at Sankeys and were kind of the faces of Manchester. We started putting on smaller parties, then Sankeys asked us to host the bar and soon after we had the main room. Knowing everybody definitely helped get the word out. What promotions have influenced you the most? I'm going to say the obvious ones like DC10 for Circo Loco and Cocoon at Amnesia. When those two go right, they're magical. Musically, they're exactly what we aspire to. What's the most effective way to promote? We have a few rooms at Sankeys so a key thing is inviting up-and-coming promoters to host other rooms. They bring their crowd, help out with the promotion and build up a network. How would you sum up the music policy at Disco Electronica? Right

Fedde chats about 7-hour back-to-back Ministry set with Mark Knight Fedde Le Grand touched down at Ministry of Sound on 6th February to launch his new double CD Toolroom Knights compilation (out 22nd March) with a takeover of the Box playing back-to-back with Toolroom main man, Mark Knight. Recreating the successful DJ partnership which heard them join forces behind the decks in Ibiza last summer, the pair played a seven hour set to a club rammed with eager ravers. “I’ve never seen it like that in Ministry,” laughs Fedde. “People were queuing around the block when I got there at 1.30 in the morning! The demand must be pretty high so you never know, maybe we will do it again.” When asked about his track of the night, however, Fedde is remaining tight-lipped. “It’s a track in progress, which I tried out that night. Mark too was amazed. Luckily it was on my USB, not on CD, otherwise he would definitely have snatched it out of my hands.” With the future of Ministry also
