Farewell to the WMC's 25th anniversary With all done and dusted, the 25th edition of the Miami Winter Music Conference has taught us two things: that it's bigger and better than ever before and that however little you sleep, you still can't make all the parties. A whirlwind last day sees us hit the Beatport party where the line tails back from the Gansevoort hotel private beach to the street, while Kaskade is spinning party trance onstage. Δείτε παρακάτω.... Μετά από 13 ολόκληρα χρόνια, ένας από τους μακροβιότερους προορισμούς για διασκέδαση στην Αθήνα, το «Mamacas», αναστέλλει τη λειτουργία του. Το δημοφιλές bar – restaurant έγινε η αφορμή για να ευδοκιμήσει η νυχτερινή ζωή στην κάποτε άγνωστη γωνιά της πόλης και να μετατραπεί το Γκάζι σε hot spot. Ξεκίνησε τη λειτουργία του ως ταβέρνα στην Περσεφόνης 41 το 1997 όταν το Γκάζι ήταν καταυλισμός τσιγγάνων και Κούρδων. Οι ιδιοκτήτες, Κωνσταντίνος Ηλιόπουλος και Βασίλης Τσεκούρας , έκαναν ένα ακόμα άνοιγμα με το Mamacas στην Μύκονο το 2000 και λίγο αργότερα, ακριβώς απέναντι από την ταβέρνα, τον Μάιο του 2001, έστησαν μία ακόμα μυκονιάτικη αυλή με τσιμέντο και ξύλινα λευκά έπιπλα, το Mamacas Bar. Ακόμη και τότε η περιοχή του Γκαζιού δε θύμιζε σε τίποτα τον σημερινό προορισμό διασκέδασης.
